Larry The Lizard works up North too. Sandy bottom, clear water, approx. 5 acres pond. 18ft in deep end. in the middle. Using a float tube for the first time. After fishing the shoreline realized that the water was still to warm. Cold front had just come in the night before. Semi-windy...On and off. Got to the deepest section and let the the 10 inch Black with blue flake fly. % seconds later felt a tap. Just let it alone....10 seconds later the line started to move to the right....Set the hook (Offset Worm, Extra Wide Gap...Red..Gamakatzu..0/4. This fish actually moved the float tube around....Finally came to the surface and jumped three times. Took a couple of more minutes until it lay flat on its side. 6 LB's.. Thats good for up North @ this time of the year. Have seen 10 LB's during spawning season but did not have The Larry Lizard. Will always have some on hand...very durable. Bottom line.....Get some.

Todays fishing Report: 08/11/2010 Fished a smaller body of water this morning with stained water. From 5:30 a.m. to 8:30 - The 4" Frog-N-Craw was incredible. Caught 20 some odd bass on it. Used a Motor color, with an Owner Riggin Hook 5/0 on Power Pro Braid and a Brand New Temple Fork Outfiters 7" Hvy Rod. Presentation: Fished the shadows around heavy cover and hydrilla near the bank. Just cast out, let it make its splat, tick-tick-pause, and set the hook. Later on as the Sun broke the shadows down, I switch to a Rattle-Trap ( Black Back/ Silver Body ) and started searching the 6 feet of water around points and tree lines. This was also pretty productive, but only about 7 Bass on this. Around 10 O' Clock, switch to my go to bait, the 6 in. Rattlin Larry the Lizard in Black & Blue. This one proved effective as the bite slowed down alot. Fished this very slow, slow fall, let it set for about 30 seconds, then two tips and pause again with slack line - so the bass don't feel it when they swim over and pick it up. Most of the time I just felt a little tick, or the line started to swim off. This produced 10 more bass, and the largest of the day at about 8 1/2 pounds.
